Bestie Cola Girl

Hello Besties! Today I want to share with you my inspiration project for the Color It, Create It, Show It Off Challenge Blog. For my project I created this Adorable Bestie Cola Girl Card.

To make my card I used the Super Adorable My Bestie Digi Stamp by Sherri Baldy Image 049 that you can find here: http://www.mybestiesshop.com/store/p3295/Sherri_Baldy_Bestie_img049_digi_stamp.html

To create my card first I printed the My Bestie Digi stamp onto plain white 110 lb. card stock. I then colored the image in with Copics. Next I inked around the edges of my final colored image with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. After that I cut 2 coordinating mats in pink and green prints to frame my coloring. To finish I attached all of the layers to my card base and then added a ribbon, flowers, and rhinestones for some extra embellishment. Thank you for stopping by and we hope that you will join in our Challenge with your own projects for your chance to win some Fantastic Bestie prizes.

Bestie Luau Card

Hello Besties! Today I want to share with you a Bestie Luau Card that I made.

To create my card I used this Adorable Hawaiian Luau Bestie Digi Stamp 038 by Sherri Baldy that you can find here:

To make my card first I printed off the  My Bestie digital stamp onto 110 lb. plain white card stock. I then drew in the outline for the sand, ocean, and sky around her with light pencil marks. Next I used Copics to color in the entire scene and Bestie digital stamp. I then used white acrylic paint and a small brush to stipple in the foam and spray coming from the ocean waves hitting the sand. To finish my coloring I used a white paint pen to add a few highlights and dots to create some added interest.

Next for my card base I just folded over some patterned card stock and trimmed it to the perfect size to fit my coloring. I also cut a coordinating mat from patterned card stock about 1/4" wider than my colored scene. I attached all of the layers to my card base with an artist tape gun. To finish I added a bow, rhinestone and some flowers for some extra embellishment.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day! I hope that my project inspires you to try out your own beach themed Bestie card.  DT Mindy

Strawberry Girl Shaker Card

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you a Strawberry Girl Shaker Card that I made.

To create my card I used an Adorable stamp from Vilda Stamps called Boy with Slingshot and Strawberry Girl that you can find here: http://shop.textalk.se/en/article.php?id=16232&art=35415951

To make my shaker card first I cut two rectangle frames from plain white card stock out that were the exact same size. Next I used a craft knife to cut out the center of one of the frames. I then used Distress Ink in Picked Raspberries and Spun Sugar to blend colors onto my top frame. Next I used Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon to stencil a cloud background onto the back frame. I then attached a thin clear layer of plastic onto the inside of the top frame. After that I lined the inside edges of that same frame with foam tape to hold in the sequins and create a pocket for them. Next I filled the inside shaker with various sequins, and then attached the bottom frame to the top frame to seal the sequins inside.

I then stamped the super Adorable Strawberry Girl and Strawberries onto 110 lb. plain white card stock and colored them in with Copics. After that I fussy cut them out and attached them to the front of my shaker card with foam tape for some added dimension. To finish my card, I added a grass border, a hello glitter die cut sentiment, and rhinestones. Thank you for stopping by, and I hope that you are inspired by my project to try your own shaker card using these amazing stamps.

 Scoops - 5x7

 Sweat Season - 5x7

 Tiny Treasure - 5x7

We also offer SVG stamp outlines for .99 they work perfectly with your cutting machine. You must have a program that opens these files. This is a great alternative to coordinating dies and much less expensive.

Here's what I've created for you...
A Christmas in July Planner Layout

I recently bought a Happy Planner and have really gotten into making planner layouts. So for this release I wanted to create an exclusive planner stamp set that could be used by us crafters, with lots of words and icons that we need, and use day to day to plan out our projects and daily chores.

So for my layout I wanted to combine 2 of our new sets and do a Christmas in July Planner Spread.

To create my project first I cut the svg outlines for the stamps with my Explore for the Plan It Out and Sweet Seasons sets. I Love these svg's because they work with your cutting machine and fit the stamps perfectly without having to purchase a bunch of stamp dies. I decided to stamp on the svg outlines instead of directly into the planner because I love using my Copics to color in my images, but didn't want them to bleed through the planner pages. After I cut out the stamp outlines from plain white 110 lb. card stock, I then stamped each of the images onto their coordinating svg outline. Next I colored all of the images in with Copics and then used a white paint pen for the highlights.

Next I set up my planner layout. To do this I used green and red washi tape to accent my pages, and then used the wavy border from the Outdoor Landscape Dies to cut out my glitter snow hills on the bottom of my planner spread from white glitter card stock. After that I attached all of my Copic colored stamped images onto my planner pages with a tape runner. Next I used the word stamps from the Plan It Out stamp set to add all of the tasks to my "to do" lists. I then added a sentiment from the Sweet Season stamp set to my planner side bar.

Once my layout was done, it was time to add some extra bling with planner clips. To make my little gingerbread couple in the upper right I used the Gingerbread Couple Digi stamp, and colored them in with Prismacolor Premier Pencils and then attached them to colored paperclips. Next I decided that my planner was not complete without a mini shaker. So I just had to use the little pan from the New Sweet Season stamp set to make a mini baking pan shaker planner clip.

To make my mini shaker first I cut out and stamped 2 of the little baking pans with their svg outlines. Next I colored them both in with Copics. I then used the small ticket die from the Pocket Pieces Hello Dies to cut out my shaker window from one of the baking pans. Next I added clear plastic to the inside of the window and then added foam tape all along the outer edge. After that I added some of the Peppermint Twist sequins to the inside of the shaker and then placed the second pan on top sealing in all of the sequins. To finish I added a paperclip to the back and then decorated the front with some of the small gingerbread and candy stamped images. Last but not least I decided that the top left corner was missing something, so I cut out a square of the Doodlebug Sugarplum paper with the little gingerbread people, and added it to that corner.

I had so much fun designing the stamps and dies in this month's release. I really hope that you enjoy them as much as I did making them for you, and that you are inspired to make your own creations with them. My Bestie Flower Fairy

Hello Besties! Today I want to share with you my DT project for the My Besties International Challenge Blog. For my project I created this My Bestie Flower Fairy Card.

To create my card I used a My Bestie digital stamp by Sherri Baldy called Image 359 that you can find here:

You can also find our current challenge at the My Besties International Challenge Blog here: http://bestieschallenge.blogspot.com/

To make my card first I cut the bottom frames with the X-Stitched Gina Marie Frame Dies. I then cut my vine frame from the Fancy Vines Gina Marie Die and inked the edges for some added dimension. Next I printed the My Bestie digital stamp onto 110 lb. plain white card stock and then colored the image in with Copics. After that I used a white gel pen to add all of the highlights. Once I finished coloring this sweet Bestie in, I then fussy cut her out and attached her to my card base with foam tape. To finish I added rhinestones, flowers, and die cuts for some extra embellishment and sparkle.
